School is out and summer has arrived. I don’t think there is anything quite like the colors of summer in Europe – the translucent red of a campari or a terracotta roof baking in the sun. Despite the heat, it’s been a wonderful time full of farewell dinners honoring departing colleagues, visits from friends, and daily dips in the nearest pool, lake, or river. Villa Visits

We had some hazy days in there – purportedly from the Canadian wildfires – but I’m loving the long days that stretch into beautiful evenings here in Ticino. After the school year wrapped up, I took a week to unwind in Slovenia. More stories to come 🙂
