Summertime

School is out and summer has arrived. I don’t think there is anything quite like the colors of summer in Europe – the translucent red of a campari or a terracotta roof baking in the sun. Despite the heat, it’s been a wonderful time full of farewell dinners honoring departing colleagues, visits from friends, and daily dips in the nearest pool, lake, or river. We had some hazy days in there – purportedly from the Canadian wildfires – but I’m loving the long days that stretch into beautiful evenings here in Ticino. After the school year wrapped up, I took a week to unwind in Slovenia. More stories to come 🙂
